Obituary of Marjorie A. Esposito

ESPOSITO, Marjorie A. “Marge” Age 65 of Elmira Heights. Marge was born on November 5, 1954 in Elmira, NY, the daughter of the late Raymond and Gladys Hill and passed away unexpectedly on November 9, 2019. She is survived by her daughter Nicole Wright; granddaughter Brittini Thompson; great grandson Joel Thompson Jr.; siblings Denny Hill, Brian (Cynthia) Hill, Robert (Ruth) Hill, and Terry (Lisa) Hill; along with several members of extended family, many dear friends, and her beloved canine companions. Marge was a 1972 graduate of Horseheads High School. She continued her education at Corning Community College; there she completed a course in Secretarial Studies, making the Dean’s List and graduating with her Associate’s Degree in Applied Science. She married Joseph Esposito right out of high school. Her only child, daughter Nicole, was born in 1975. Marge devoted her life to her family, her work, and her animals. Her dogs and cats were a special part of her every day, bringing her so much joy. Her favorite things to do in her spare time included baking, sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She retired from Corning Glass after 20 plus years of exceptional dedication. In her recent years she continued her outstanding diligence as a caretake with Bethany Manor in Horseheads. Marge was the most gentle, caring, kind, and loving mother, grandmother, woman, and friend. She would exhaust herself if it meant helping another. Her reputation alone exceeds any expectations that anyone could hope to carry on. She will forever be dearly missed, honored, loved, and respected. Family and friends are invited to visit the Barber Funeral Home, 413 S. Main St., in Horseheads on Monday, November 18th 2019 from 5 pm to 7 pm. A memorial celebration for Marge will be held there at 7 pm; Pastor Alex Ruffer celebrating. A full tribute can be read and condolences may be left at www.barberfuneralhome.com
