Obituary of Leon Stiles

Leon Stiles Age 87 of Endicott, NY, formerly of Addison, NY. He was born August 13, 1936 in Lindley, NY, the son of the late Essie Stiles. Leon passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Donnie of Cortland, NY; sister Karen of Clearwater, FL; his first wife Janet Stiles in 2000; and his second wife Shirley Cobb in 2014. He is survived by his daughter Cindy Baldock; grandchildren Tara (Keith) Bryan, Martin, and Casey Reppard; great grandchildren Kayla, Kerrigan, Camaron, Ricky, Salina, Tori, Logan, Brayden, Peyton, and Emma; along with a host of dear great-great grandchildren, extended family, and friends. Leon was a big-hearted man, who enjoyed the outdoors, and worked hard throughout his life. He spent years working as a truck driver, owned his farm in Addison where he took time to hunt, fish, and raise horses. When time came to 'slow down' Leon transitioned into driving school buses, and later working as a heavy equipment operator for the Town of Big Flats. While he worked hard, he made sure to always attend any family picnics or events. He was a member of the Wellsboro Moose Lodge, enjoyed playing cards, and giving back to his community. He even was known to rescue turtles on the roadside, Family and friends are invited to the Barber Funeral Home, 413 S. Main St., in Horseheads, NY on Saturday, April 27th, 2024 from 11 am to 1 pm. His funeral service will be held there at 1pm, with committal and interment to follow in Rural Home Cemetery, Big Flats, NY.
