Obituary of Donna Lee Hornsby

Donna Lee Hornsby On 10/03/2021 our mother, grandmother and dear friend was received into God’s Kingdom. Greeted by her Grandma Sanders, parents Fred and Luella Furman, sister Cheryl Sprague, and many cousins, aunts, and uncles before her. Her beloved dogs Tuffy, Buster, Chynna and Tag a Long are jumping in her lap and giving her kisses and wiggle butts as she rubs bellies and tells them stories and lick the ice cream stick. She is free from her pain that she has endured for decades and is once again a size 8. Donna was predeceased by husbands Lt Col Dwuade Hornsby of Little Marsh PA, David Peer of Lowman, NY and Kennlyn Jenner of Jamestown, NY. Donna was born 8/31/1938 in Kane, PA and graduated from Jamestown High School. Surviving immediate family members Brother, Terry (Timothy) Furman of Oregon Son, Kevin Peer of Elmira Daughter, Jodelle Herrera of Florida Son, Timothy (Marylou) Peer of Connecticut Daughter, Lori (Timothy) Lawrence of Freeville Grandchildren: Jacob Peer, Harley Peer, Joseph (Ally) Peer, Thomas Peer, Joshua Herrera, Angelica Herrera, GianCarlo Salce, Gabriella Salce and Great grandson Jackson Peer. Those closest to her: Judy Goble, The Hadlock Family, Betty, Shirley, Kimberly Brink Donna’s chocolate chip cookies will surely be missed by all. We leave her in God’s hands, until we meet again. A private viewing and celebration of life will be held at the family’s convenience. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Chemung County SPCA Animal Shelter in the name of "Itty Bitty" would make her heart sing.
