Obituary of Barbara Struble Hathaway

Barbara Struble Hathaway She was born September 5, 1937 died peacefully on October 4, 2021. Known to her family as Barb she was a special Woman who meant a lot to her family. She was a loving Aunt to all her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Maxwell “Pat” Struble mother Mabel Pike Struble older brother Maxwell Struble and nephew Scott Struble. Barb and her family grew up in Breesport; they lived in the old train depot. Barb enjoyed going to the fair and collecting stuffed animals. She was married to Pete Hathaway they lived a fairly simple & happy life until his death. The last few years of her life she spent at the Chemung County nursing home where she enjoyed getting her nails done and playing bingo. We are thankful to the staff at CCNH for taking great care of her. She is survived by sister-in-law Nancy Struble nephews Doug, Steve (Diane), Craig (Tracy) and Keith Struble, And her two nieces Vicki Hafner and Marcia (John) Boger. She has several great nieces and nephews and more great great nieces and nephews. She will be missed dearly.
