Obituary of Michael Patrick Fetter

Michael Patrick Fetter, 85, of Reidsville, NC passed away Monday, October 25, 2021 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center. He was born October 30, 1935 in Dutchess County, New York to the late Francis Fetter and Catherine Murray Fetter. Michael was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was employed by IBM for 33 years in computer sales from which he retired. He loved watching football and singing in the church choir. Michael was a member of Holy Infant Catholic Church in Reidsville, NC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John “Jack” Fetter. Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Deborah Edger Fetter; daughters, Mary Ellen Stone of Minnesota, Kathleen Galvan (Gabriel) of Leesburg, VA; and Michele DeGarmo of Charlottesville, VA; grandchildren: Teresa Marie Symthia (Joey), Daniel O’Brien, Matthew Stone, Gabriela Hughes (Cory), Kayleen Galvan, Michael Galvan, Kellan DeGarmo and Kyle DeGarmo; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and friends. A graveside service with military honors will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery, Horseheads, NY on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a local food bank.
