Obituary of Cynthia A. Atwood
Cynthia A. Atwood "Pumpkin" Age 60 of Horseheads and formerly of Oneonta, NY. She was born November 21st 1961 in Oneonta, NY, the daughter of the late Leon and Veda (Farmer) Bryant and passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Monday, July 4th 2022. Cynthia is survived by her dear husband Timothy Atwood; children Tonia Ely, and Jeffrey Ely; beloved grandchildren Alyssa, Daevon, Amaya, and Braiden; siblings Terry (Gaby) Bryant, Veda "Bunny" (Rich Davis) Knapp, and Sandy (Bill) Hotaling; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. A devoted and faithful Christian woman, Cynthia was known to be a lively spirit and a 'firecracker'. She retired from the Elmira City School District, where she was a cook/ cafeteria manager for Fassett Elementary. Outside of work she loved to dance and travel, including annual trips to Myrtle Beach or an opportunity to visit family in Florida. Cynthia loved her dogs, especially Bullet who was with her to the end.
