Obituary of Donald H. Jeffery

Donald H. Jeffery Age 90 of Horseheads, NY passed away Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. He was born May 17, 1932 In Elmira, NY, son of the late Daniel and Alice (Whiting) Jeffery. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Roy Jeffery and infant son at birth and several cousins. Donald is survived by his friend and companion of 22 years, Florence (Flowie) Reynolds and all of her family. He joined the Army in 1950 and served in Germany for 3 years; was a member of the American Legion Post 442 Horseheads for many years. Don was a collector of classic cars, his prize being a 1965 Ford Thunderbird. He dealt in antiques; was a dog lover and raised many dogs and served on the board of the Chemung County SPCA. He retired from MacMillan Bloedel. Family and friends are invited to visit the Barber Funeral Home, 413 S. Main St., in Horseheads, NY on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 12pm for a remembrance gathering. A private burial will take place place at the convience of the family.
