Obituary of Joanne I. Thomas

THOMAS, Joanne I. Age 57 of Johnson Hollow Rd. Millport And formerly of Elmira and Horseheads passed away after a brief illness on Apr. 13, 2011. She was born on Feb. 12, 1954 in Elmira, NY to the late Clayton and Irene (Patterson) German. She is survived by her husband, Gary Thomas; Sons, Robert (Jasmine) Thomas of Corning, NY Kevin Thomas of Millport, NY; Close friend Gary Lang-Bartel Grandchildren, Devon, Aiden, and Alexandria; Brothers, Darwin (Diane) German of Horseheads, NY Ronald (Pat) German of Wellsburg, NY Harold German of Horseheads, NY and Larry German also of Horseheads, NY; Several nieces and nephews and many close and caring friends; In addition to her parents, Joanne was also predeceased by her brother, Gary German; Niece, Heather German, and grand nephew, Kristopher German, as well as several aunts and uncles. Joanne was a graduate of T.A.E. in Elmira Heights and a longtime employee of Corning Hospital where she was a nurses aide. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother and sister who was devoted to her family. Friends and Family are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads NY on Sunday April 17, 2011 from 12:00 noon-2:00 pm and again from 4-6:00 pm Her service will take place there at the funeral home on Monday April 18, 2011 at 11:00 am.
