Obituary of Thomas D. Kieffer

Thomas D. "Skeeter" Kieffer Age 79 of Millport, NY. Tom was born May 12, 1944 in Elmira, NY, the son of the late Raymond E. and the Jeanette (Steffen) Kieffer; he passed away on Saturday, July 29th 2023. In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by his brothers Curtis in 1978, and Timothy in 1987; along with his beloved wife Theresa in 2013. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Kristin (Brian) Denlinger; grandchildren Danielle Butler, and Gordon Butler III; step-grandchildren Elizabeth, and Ethan Denlinger; sister: Catherine Brown; brothers David (Deborah) Kieffer, and Martin Kieffer; brother-in-law Thomas Brown; dear friend Kathy Mulvihill; along with his extended family and many, many great friends. Tom and Theresa were married on August 16th 1969. They raised their family while Tom spent over 20 years as an engineer technician with Fagan Engineers. In his spare time, he was a regular at the Sullivan Trail Rod & Gun Club. After retirement he devoted much of his time to 'Cosy Clan', his online radio station – as DJ Mellow. Truly a man who will be greatly missed for the unmistakable way he touched the lives of those who knew him. Family and friends are invited to visit and celebrate his life at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 S. Main St., in Horseheads, NY on Friday, August 4th 2023 from 4 pm to 6 pm. Tom will be laid to rest with family in a private ceremony in St. Mary Our Mother Cemetery in Horseheads, NY. In lieu of flowers, his family is requesting donations of time and/or money to an activity or organization that improves the quality of people's lives.
