The title of Grandmother means so many things. They are the ones who make the best of the worst hands dealt, they find the silver lining and saving grace in even the most dismal times. They love with all they are without judgement or expectation and are always in your corner. They guide you, they encourage you, and make you want to be your best self. They teach when they can, scold when they must and always always LOVE! My Grandmother truly embodied all of these things to the absolute max! She was a gem of a woman that I had the honor and privilege of having in my life for my 42 years. She taught me how to "Build" lasagna, (Because you don't make it, ya gotta build it" (She'd say). She was there for all 8 seasons of soccer when I was younger, for birthdays, special occasions and a lot of times just because she missed us (my sister and I). Christmas Eve every year was over at Grandpa's and Grandma's, and they'd even come over to my parent's house Christmas Day to see what Santa brought us. I am blessed with all of the memories we made together as a family. I am grateful that of all the people in the world she could have been the Grandma to, I was lucky to be one of them. Thank you for shining your light and love always. Thank you for the lessons, the talks, for being my ear when I needed it, thank you for raising the woman I am proud to call my Mom, and always showing me how important to you I was. Rest In Peace Grandma May, until we see each other again.

My sincere condolences to the May family. I grew up across the street from this wonderful family and spent a lot of time with them. I babysat for the kids when they were very young, staying overnight on the weekends when Gloria and Jim worked nights. My fondest memory is the day Gloria gave me my very first Barbie doll. She has and always will have a special place in my heart. Rest in peace, sweet lady.

Sorry to hear of Gloria passing. Bruce and my son Ed played many sports together and the May's were always there for their support. Our condolences and sympathy to the entire May family from the Sawester family.
