Dear Mrs. Abraham, I am sending my deepest condolences to you and your family on the occasion of the death of your beloved husband and father. He was such a dear Christian person, who saved my life on two occasions. He often told of his family and you waiting in the car, patiently, while he was doing his doctoring. A huge vacumn is now in my heart, as well as all of you. I shall miss his counsel, patient caring, gentle ways and his
dedicated talents in Medicine. My heart is with you all on this sad occasion. Sincerely, Betty Bassett Calhoun

Too seldom in life do you get the opprotunity to meet and work with someone who truly brightens your day and makes you feel better simply by seeing them and saying hello. EVERY time I saw Dr.Abraham, I was greeted with a smile...then a laugh...then a hello. My life and others lives were better for knowing him. He will be missed. A great man who I will never forget. Thank you for letting me know him.

To the Abraham Family,
I am sorry to hear that your loved one (husband, father, grandfather, and uncle) has passed on. Death has it''''s sting on you at this moment, but it will sting less as time goes on. I know this from experience. But he is with the Lord and that beats being here. Be rest assured that you will be him in Glory with all of the other saints that have gone before him. That time is getting closer with each passing day.
For Seema and Sheela,
My heart goes out for you.
God Bless,

To the family of Dr. Abraham:
We were very saddened to learn of Dr. Abraham''s sudden passing. I had the
honor of knowing & working with the dear doctor when he first started his surgical
practice at Tioga General Hospital. I was working in the medical records department
as a file clerk & then moved to doing transcription. I typed countless reports
of Dr. A''s patients for their medical records. He was always very kind, considerate,
willing to explain surgical procedures when asked. I remained with TGH until it
closed, but in 1980 took over the medical records for Tioga Nursing Facility as
well. Dr. A was an excellent surgeon, very caring individual. He performed my
late father''s gallbladder surgery in 1984 & my dad had nothing but kind words
for Dr. A. I cannot imagine the grief you are experiencing at this time. My
husband was working at Sear''s automotive part-time years ago & always
enjoyed talking to Dr. A & his wife when they would bring their cars in for
tires, etc. In later years I lost contact with Dr. A due to living in Tioga
Center NY for 7 years while my husband was pastor at 2 churches there.
However, I always thought about him & wondered how he was doing. I wish,
in 2008, when I had major cancer surgery, that TGH had still been in
operation as I would have entrusted my care to Dr. A. I shall never forget
what a kind individual he was, an excellent surgeon & someone you could call
friend...........Millie & Larry Mather

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to you Mrs. Abraham and your family. I came to know Dr. Abraham when I went to work at Tioga General Hospital as a Charge Nurse on the 11 to 7 shift. I didn''t have as much contact with him as the Day Nurses, but there would be occasions when I would have to call him during the night,. When he felt it was necessary, he would come to the hospital. He was always very professional and cared deeply about his patients. Before leaving he would always thank me for calling him and never seemed to mind being disturbed. Dr. was always very polite, courtous and professional.
I worked with him from 1976 to 1981 and it was certainly an honor and a privilege to know him. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers in the days ahead.

As expressed by so many, I had the opportunity of a life time working with Dr. Abraham, even if for only 1 year in the OR at Schyuler. What a truly caring, loving and selfless man he was. He led by example and those who were blessed to spend time with him, will always carry his memory with them, as I will. If there is anything positive to look for in this time of sadness, it would be he didn''t have to choose to retire from a profession that was truly his life.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family and with all my friends in the OR who will miss him so very much.
