Obituary of Donald Stanton

Donald K Stanton passed away November 7th, 2023 He is predeceased by his parents Elmer and Elaine Stanton. He is survived his brother Elmer (Butch) Stanton of Port Townsend Washington, his sister Elaine (Berkie) Velia of Elmira NY, his daughters, Corinna Stanton of Wellsburg NY, Robin Stanton of Horseheads Ny, and his 2 granddaughters, Rachael Phillips of Rochester NY and Erika Phillips of Horseheads Ny. Don served proudly in the US Navy after high school and was stationed in California. He worked for Shepherd Niles until he retired, and also as a foreign car mechanic in the evenings. Don was the happiest when he was outdoors, having grown up on Halderman Hollow with 21 acres to explore with his dog wolf. He loved to hunt in his younger years. Once he got older, he preferred his afternoon walks in the woods along the powerlines, and feeding the deer pears and apples. At the request of the family, there will be no calling hours and a private burial at their convenience.
