Not that he seemed to mind what people thought of him but rather he was more concerned with how he treated others, he was loved by more than he probably knew. He was never less than thoughtful, kind and giving - to my family. I cherished and will continue to cherish the relationship we built over the past 17 years. We had many conversations and he never said a bad word about anyone - not even the ones who smeared his name, maybe an eye roll and a quick little quip but nothing more. He truly lived in the moment. He enjoyed the earth and it’s natural resources and preferred it over today’s ramped up easy style of living - it was inspiring. He saw more than most people do, living the way he did. His relationships with people, animals and nature was meaningful and careful. His death is truly such a loss. Some may choose to see him as an addict but I’ve never seen him use a drug, so I will always remember him for who he was as a human being. For 17 years I only ever witnessed him helping others, doing kind gestures that weren’t asked or expected of him, watched him take care of the earth and reduce his carbon footprint, sing, dance, smile, never told a lie, never stole a thing and in addition to all of that, we had the privilege to learn so many different things because his brain was bursting with knowledge of all types and he loved to educate and advise without solicitation (haha)! To me, that is a person of exceptional character. That is who I knew Wayne Kent to be and that is why we mourn him every day. That is the only version of him we have ever known. His friendship and existence added value to my family’s life and I hope that he would have been able to say the same for us.

Wayne was one of the smartest guys I knew, He soaked up knowledge so easy, you could mention a topic, he knew something about it. He always said, he's an expert on two things, guitars and Cadillacs. When we are having bad times in our life, and love ones are lost, and wonder where GOD is. Remember, the teacher is always quiet during the test. Wayne believed, and he will be honored. He will be dearly missed!
