Sandria "Boots" Hess

Age 80 of Elmira, NY, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024. She was predeceased by her husband Paul Lee Hess on November 12, 2022 and 14 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children Betty (Donald) Montgomery of Elmira, Donald Hess of Ohio, Lisa (Jeffery) Mahler of Horseheads and Michael (Stacy) Hess of Indiana; grandchildren Paul (Erynn) Montgomery, Christine Montgomery, Matthew Hess, and sisters Ashley and Airen, Tiffany Mahler, Chelsey (Chris) Stroell, Jessica Hess and Michaela Hess; great grandchildren Logan and Ella Stroell; last surviving sibling Butch (Mary) Coleman of Elmira. Our Mom was a very caring and special person, loved by everyone. A wonderful wife of 61 years and the best Mom anyone could ever ask for. She was known for her great cooking skills. She made the best roast beef, mash potatoes and gravy dinner. We will miss her sugar cookies that she made every Christmas. She was always the life of the party, made everyone laugh. Our Dad loved her smile and dimples. She loved gardening and her flowers. The stories she would tell were so special. She will leave a hole in our hearts, but is now with Dad and died peacefully because of her trust in Jesus. We love you and will miss you Mom.
