Obituary of Lynn E Evans

Lynn E. Evans age 72 of Odessa NY was surrounded by his family when he left to go meet his Lord and loved ones who have passed before him on April 10th, 2024 at 5:40pm. Lynn is predeceased by his parents Delbert and Agnes Evans; little sister Cindy Vlajnic, mother-in- law Helen Brokaw; sons-in-law Floyd Arnold and Richard Clugstone; and his first-born daughter Diana Clugstone. Lynn was a graduate of Horseheads Central School District. He worked at many places in his lifetime, including Nichols Discount City, National Auto, National Homes, Ward LaFrance, Hardinge Brother's, Thatcher Glass, Shepard Niles, Hillard, and he retired from driving truck at Central Recycling. Lynn also had his side job playing in his bands (Posted and Hardway) at many different places including Fred's Woodshed, where he opened for country singer Chely Wright of Hardway. Lynn was the lead singer and lead guitarist. Some of his longtime friends that were in his band included Vern Andrews (brother in-law), Richard Stackhouse, Ron Just, Joe Couch, Mike Cole, Pam Kelly, Brad Eisenhart, Bill Henderson, and Dave Beach. Lynn's family and all his "kids" (as he would say) including all his grands and great grands were always the most important to him. Lynn was always cracking jokes and being silly; he loved to make people smile. He always had that "twinkle" in his eyes that would just make you smile. Lynn was always a #1 fan of his grandsons, watching them play ball. He almost never missed a practice or a game with them; he would support any event and he was so incredibly proud of all his kids. He loved going fishing with his brother Joel, his wife and grandkids. He loved his fishing shows with his one little buddy Evan after school. We can't forget his wrestling; he loved watching WWE. In 2015 Lynn met the love of his life and his rock Sharon and married her June of 2017 making our family larger and stronger. Lynn loved going to the Blue Ribbon Diner where he got to see his favorite waitress Suzy/Suzanne (Beers/Mayo) a long-time best friend of his daughter, as well as Kellie White, his oldest daughter's best friend; they were like his own kids. Lynn is survived by his wife Sharon Evans; daughter Samantha Evans; brother Joel (Theresa) Evans; brother-in-law Milorad Vlajinc; His bonus children Nick (Angela) Sheeley, Felicia (Ryan) Palmer; grandkids Zach Arnold, Cassie Povero, Ben Arnold, Macala and Brandon Lalonde, Tisha Fazenbaker, Chase Gray-Foster, Mya Gray-Foster, Caitlin and Dallas Hatch, Evan Morrell, Alex (Kelly) Niyah, Nater, Aiden, Desmond, Olivia, Breanne; great grandkids Jaidyn, Noah, Graven, Damion, Travis, Alanna, Joz, Addilynn, Elianna, Sawyer, Alger, Jackson, Ricky, Alger, and Julia; and many many cousins and extended family and friends. A Memorial Service for Lynn will be held at the family's convince, where the family has promised he will be late.
