Judy and family, I am saddened by Mert’s death. As youth, we enjoyed many happy evenings ice skating on the duck pond! Mert and other friends, and family were carefree and safe in the Big Flats area. Mert was kind and respectful of others. I will miss him. The folks at the Big Flats Historical Pancake breakfasts will also miss him. My condolences to the family. Ann Hayes
