Obituary of Gaynelle Tuttle Bowen

Gaynelle Tuttle Bowen, formerly of Horseheads, NY, passed away in Rogers, Arkansas on March 9, 2024. Gaynelle was a beloved member of the Horseheads community for over 60 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Georgia Rowell Tuttle, her sister, Joyce Tuttle, and her husband, Luther N, Bowen (https://www.stargazette.com/obituaries/bps137983). Gaynelle is survived by her nieces and nephew: Deborah Gunderman (Mark), Elaine Benton, Diane Smith (Garth), and David Pruyne. Gaynelle was born in Peterborough, New Hampshire on December 24, 1936. She was raised in Erin, NY and attended Van Etten Schools and Elmira college. She married her sweetheart, Luther Bowen, on Oct. 4, 1958. Gaynelle was a registered nurse and worked at Arnot Ogden Medical Center for over 40 years. Gaynelle was active in the community and served with her husband sponsoring dinners at the Masonic Hall in Breesport for many years. She was a member of the Breesport Methodist Church. Luke and Gaynelle explored the USA in their RV, wintering in Mission, TX, until health concerns prevented their continued travel. A memorial service and reception honoring both Gaynelle and Luther will be held at the Breesport Methodist Church on September 6, 2024 at 6 PM. Luther and Gaynelle’s ashes will be interred in Temple, New Hampshire following the memorial.
