Obituary of Phyllis Wells

Age 93 of Horseheads passed away Saturday October 12, 2024 at Arnot Ogden hospital with family members at her side. Phyllis was born June 29, 1931 to the late Robert and Myrtle Peake. She was also predeceased by her loving husband of 66 years Kenneth G. Wells, and six siblings. She is survived by her children: Doug (Jane) Wells, Joan (Jeffrey) Burger, Kenneth (Jennifer) Wells; Grandchildren: Jeffrey (Jennifer Chou) Burger; Bryan (Chiho Ikegami) Burger; Mathew (Patricia Blanco) Wells; Zacheus, Evelyn, Lucci, and Geno Wells; Great-Grandchildren: James Burger, Kensei Burger, and Bruce Blanco-Wells. Phyllis worked many jobs throughout her life and was also a homemaker. She also co-established and co-owned Kitchen Specialties with her husband Kenneth. Phyllis belonged to Home Bureau for many years. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 S. Main St., Horseheads, NY 14845 on Saturday October 19, 2024 from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM. Her service will take place there at 12:30 PM with burial service to follow in Rural Home Cemetery, Big Flats, NY.
