Obituary of Winslow Alexander Wolfe Jr.

Winslow Alexander Wolfe Jr. "Wolfie" September 7, 1952 - January 10, 2025 Winslow was born in Potsdam, NY and moved to Elmira, NY where he graduated from Southside High School. After high school, he joined the United States Marine Corps and served his country for six years. He is a veteran of the Vietnam War. Winslow went on to be manager at the McDonald's in Horseheads, NY, for six years. He left McDonald's and went on to work at the Chemung County Sewer District and retired after 38 years as a wastewater treatment plant operator. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Diana M (Melens) Wolfe. His children, Peggy A (Jeremy) Comfort and Michael A (Amanda) Wolfe. Six grandchildren Tyler A (Milan) Wolfe, Maya A (Clai) Wood, Dylan M Comfort, Vincent P Wolfe, Tristan D Wolfe, Evan M Wolfe. Four great grandchildren Dawson M Comfort- Wood, Lydia R Wood, (Baby Boy) Wood and Jack L Wolfe. His two sisters, Rosemary (Marty) Polovick, Barbara Miles and three brothers, Lawrence (Dot) Wolfe, Ronald (Mary) Wolfe, and Timothy Wolfe. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and his extended family in the North Country he adored. He is predeceased by his parents, Winslow A (Lillian) Wolfe and his brother Richard A Wolfe. There will be a graveside service Tuesday morning, January 14, 2025 at 11 O'clock, held at the Hilltop Cemetery in Breesport, NY - with military honors joined by the Marine Corps League. Immediately following will be a celebration of life at the Erin Town Fire Hall. All are welcome to attend.
