Obituary of Eugene C. Dailey

DAILEY, Eugene C. Age 79 of Marshall St. Horseheads passed away Wed. Sept. 28, 2011 at Elcor Health Center. Gene was born in Waverly to Horace and Leona (Maas) Dailey. He was predeceased by their daughter, Mary Dailey. He is survived by his wife Emilee (Granger) Dailey; Daughter, Yvonne Dailey of Horseheads, NY; Son, David Dailey of Falls Church, VA; Grandchildren; Amanda Costello, Dane Dailey, and Morgan Dailey; Sisters, Janet Lundenberg and Susan Gillian He was also predeceased by brother, Tom and sister Edna. Gene was retired from Thatcher Glass where he was a batch and melting foreman. He was also a veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Army. He loved his family, was a caring and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend who also enjoyed reading. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads, NY on Sat. Oct. 1, 2011 from 10:00 am-12:00 noon. His service will follow at 12:00 noon.
