Obituary of Gertrude ""Trudy"" E. Noyes

NOYES, Gertrude E. “Trudy” Age 74 of Hickory Grove Rd. Horseheads passed away after an extended illness on Monday Feb. 13, 2012. Trudy was born Aug. 20, 1937 in Binghamton, NY, to Don Noyes and Valora Thomas Noyes. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brothers, Don Jr., Bruce, Norman and Gary Noyes; and sister-in-law Ann Noyes. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Betty Noyes of Horseheads, NY Joey Noyes also of Horseheads, NY; Nieces and nephews, Cynthia (Howard) Callihan of Jeffersonville, VT, Bruce “Skip” (Diane) Noyes of Elmira, NY, Michael (John Dietz) Noyes of Lehigh Acres, FL, Sue (Scott) Allmendinger of Elmira, NY, Thomas (Regina) Noyes of Elmira, NY, and James Noyes also Elmira, NY; Several grand nieces and grand nephews. Trudy was a graduate of the Arnot School of Nursing and Elmira College and was a retired Nursing Educator at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center for over 37 years. She was an avid golfer, member of Corning Country Club, supporter of Elmira College and also enjoyed countless hours spent at Keuka Lake as a nurse for the Elms Girls Camp. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads on Thurs. Feb. 16, 2012 from 4-7:00 pm. Her service will take place on Fri at 10:00 am. Burial in Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads.
