Obituary of Anita Grace Frost

FROST, Anita Grace Age 87 of Halderman Hollow Rd. in Big Flats passed away after a brief illness on Sun Apr. 22, 2012 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Robert in 1998 and is survived by her sons and daughter, Leon (Christine Rohrer) Frost of Herkimer, NY Ken (Carol) Frost of Bakersfield, CA, Myron (Christine A.) Frost of Big Flats, NY, Patricia (Roger) Lamoreaux of Elmira, NY; Grace dearly loved her 10 Grandchildren, Michelle (Cosmo) Balio, Robert (Amy) Frost, Lauren (Tim Massinger) Frost, Kendallyn Frost, Jaryd, Jacob and Derek Frost, Kyle Frost, Marc and Rachel Lamoreaux; Cherished her Great grandchildren, Mikayla and Isabella Balio, Austin and Hadley Frost as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Grace was the last of seven siblings. She was a communicant of St. Mary Our Mother Church in Horseheads. She was a graduate of Michigan State University and attended University of Michigan. Grace was a longtime public health nurse who cared for many individuals from her home and in their homes. She was also a member of the American Red Cross and over the years has donated countless gallons of blood. Grace was a strong and faithful Roman Catholic always willing to help someone else. She looked forward to spending every opportunity to be with her family at their cottage on Macey’s Bay Ontario. She was a master gardener, a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and enjoyed working on her bucket list. In keeping with her wish, Grace gave the gift of herself for the advancement of Medical Education and Research to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. Family and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Tues April 24, 2012 at St. Mary Our Mother Church 816 W. Broad St. Horseheads at 12:30 pm. The Rev. Scott Kubinski will celebrate her Funeral Mass.
