Obituary of Elizabeth M. Wood

Elizabeth "Betty" M. Wood age 76 of So. Center St. in Horseheads passed away at home surrounded by her family on May 5, 2012. She is survived by her Loving and devoted husband of 56 years, Donald R. Wood; Children, Michael (Mary) Wood of Candor, NY, Nanette Wood of Millport, NY ,Donna (Michael Benjamin) Tangorre of Elmira, NY, Laurie (Jerry) Blaasch of Horseheads, NY, Donald (Melissa) Wood of Elmira, NY and Christina (Jeffrey) Crum also of Elmira, NY; Grandchildren: Lauren, Christopher, Hillary, Elizabeth, Ashley, Jeremy and Miranda; Great Grandchildren: Kayla, Conner and Jacob; Cherished Aunt and Beloved Friend, Rose Campanelli of Elmira, NY. Betty was also predeceased by her mother, Christina M. Rossi, father, Alexander N. Rossi and and grandmother, Nicolina Campanelli. Betty loved the Library, loved cross word puzzles and loved to read. She was a devoted member of the George Strait fan club and even in her 60’s attended a concert with her daughters. Above all Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend who enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads on Tues. May 8, 2012 from 4-7:00 pm. Her service will be celebrated on Wed. May 9, 2012 at 10:00 am. Her burial service will take place in Woodlawn National Cemetery.
