Obituary of Bonnie Swartz

SWARTZ, Bonnie Age 70 of Renwick Lane Horseheads passed away after a brief illness on Thurs. Sept. 13, 2012. Bonnie was born June 23, 1942 in Elmira NY to Edward Isaacs Sr. and Ruth Elston She is survived by her husband, Ronald with whom she would have celebrated 50 years together in marriage this January 26th. Daughter and Sons, Tammy (Dale) Aldrich of Winter Park, FL, Gregory (Sharon) Swartz of Horseheads, NY, Jeffrey (Jamielyn) Swartz of Corning, NY; Grandchildren, Brandon and Casey Swartz, Brooke Aldrich and Justin McCarthy; Brother, Charles (Sheryl) Elston of Lowman, NY; Sisters-in-law, Marilyn (John) Horton of Rochester, NY, Janice (Lem) Pipher of Lowman, NY; and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brother, Edward Isaacs Jr. and sister, Shirley (Ray) Victor. Bonnie was a member of Horseheads First United Methodist Church and Horseheads Women’s Club. She was also a volunteer for the Horseheads Historical Society. Bonnie was a graduate of Southside High School Class of 1960 and graduate of Pauldine’s Beauty School in Elmira. Most important, Bonnie was a caring and devoted wife, mother, “Nana”, sister and friend. She loved her family, enjoyed baking and cooking with her grandchildren and for her family and friends. Bonnie also enjoyed her yearly trips to Wolfe Lake in Canada. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads on Sunday Sept. 16, 2012 from 2-4:00 and 6-8:00 pm Her service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Monday at 10:00 am with the Rev. Rhonda Kouterick officiating. Burial service will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
