Obituary of Richard L. Williams

WILLIAMS, Richard L. Age 82 of Rockwell Ave. Horseheads passed away Sept. 16, 2012 after an illness. Dick was born in Corning, NY, to Lionel and Marian (Rick) Williams. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Rose) Williams; Son, Kevin L. Williams “KL” both of Horseheads along with many friends and neighbors. Dick was an owner and operator along with his family of Williams Produce in Elmira. Later he worked at the Ann Page Company as their head fumigator; part time with Eldridge Park where he enjoyed working with the people and being outside. Later he also retired from ABB in Elmira Heights. Dick was an early Rock and Roll and country music fan. He enjoyed all types of dancing with his beloved wife and good friends. He was quite a card player, loved to travel and enjoyed summers in his early youth on Keuka Lake. Dick was active in Horseheads JC’s, involved with obtaining and building the Horseheads Free Library. Dick was a member of North Presbyterian Church, who also loved camping, NASCAR and swimming. Family and friends are invited to call at the North Presbyterian Church 921 College Ave. Elmira, NY 14901 on Thursday from 11:30-12 Noon. His service celebrated by the Rev. Gary Chorpenning there in church at 12:00 noon. Burial will be at the convenience of his family in Woodlawn Cemetery in Elmira. www.barberfuneralhome.com
