Obituary of Betty J. Newman

NEWMAN, Betty J. Age 87 of Bethany Village Horseheads formerly of Landau Dr. in Big Flats passed away Sept. 27, 2012. She was born in Elmira Feb. 23, 1925, a daughter to the late Rena and Frances Hewitt. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Rodney Newman Jr. in 2005. She was a graduate of Elmira College, class of 1947 and pursued a career in Medical Technology. Betty was an employee of the Arnot Ogden Medical Center for forty years; the last thirty, she served as Microbiology Laboratory Supervisor. She was a life member of the Watkins Glen Yacht Club. Betty and her husband enjoyed boating and traveled all the waterways in New York State and Canada. There will be no prior calling hours.
