Obituary of Robert F. Ennis

ENNIS, Robert F. Age 85 of Hickory Grove Road in Horseheads passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Elcor Health Services. He was born June 24, 1927 in Elmira, NY, to Judson and Bessie (Hollenbeck) Ennis. Bob is survived by his wife of over 57 years, Dolores (Harding) Ennis; daughters and son, Robin (Raymond) Willson of Pine Valley, NY, Christine (Dave) Peterson of Hammondsport, NY and James Ennis of Horseheads, NY; grandchildren, Joshua and Jacob Willson, Jessica, Amanda and Matthew Peterson and Shannon Ennis. In addition to his parents, Bob was also predeceased by his brothers, Lee and Jerry. He was retired from Westinghouse as their Senior Sales Supervisor having worked on several Government contracts throughout his 35 year career. He was a veteran of the US Army and an avid bowler having had scored several 300 games during his career. He was also the secretary for several local bowling leagues. Most of all Bob will be remembered by his keen sense of humor. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 South Main Street, Horseheads on Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 3-5:00 p.m. A prayer service will follow at 5:15 p.m. Burial service with military honors in St. James Cemetery in Waverly NY.
