Obituary of Chad A. Jividen

Chad A. Jividen Age 37 of Painted Post passed away very unexpectedly on Sunday, January 6, 2013. Chad was born in Elmira, NY on December 1, 1975 to Gary and Carol (Russell) Jividen. In addition to his loving parents, Gary and Carol Jividen, Chad is also survived by his sister, Lisa Jividen of Las Vegas, NV; maternal grandmother, Doris Russell of Elmira, NY; paternal grandmother, Pauline Jividen of Horseheads, NY; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, co workers and many close friends, including Josh Jankowski, Dan Bissell, Jason Ferger and Elizabeth Treffeisen. He was also was predeceased by maternal grandfather, Kenneth Russell; paternal grandfather, John J. Jividen Sr.; and cousins, Bobby Gillette and Emily Russell. Chad was a graduate of Southside High School Class of 1993, CCC and RIT where he received his BS and the University of Rochester receiving his MBA. He had been employed with Dresser Rand in Painted Post working as a program manager stationed in Saudi Arabia. He had also worked for Hilliard and Eastman Kodak. Chad enjoyed watching movies and playing video games. He also enjoyed skiing, Boy Scouts of America--being awarded an Eagle Scout, traveling, photography, Face Booking and was a collector and connoisseur of fine wine. Most of all, Chad loved his family and friends. Chad was loved, admired and respected by his family, many friends and coworkers he had made across the world. He will be missed dearly by his family and those who knew him well. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 South Main Street, Horseheads on Saturday, January 12, 2012 from 2-4:00 and 6-8:00 pm. His service will take place there at the funeral home on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Donald Rockwell officiating.
