Obituary of Howard R. Wead

WEAD, Howard R. Age 84 and long time resident of Murphy Hill Rd. Horseheads went home to be with the Lord at Schuyler Hospital Seneca View on January 26, 2013. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret (Janowski) Wead on Aug. 17, 1999. He is survived by his children, Delbert (Shelly) Wead of Walnut Ridge, AR, Donald (Linda) Wead of Beaver Dams, NY, Dail (LaVerne) Phelps of Beaver Dams, NY, Glenn (Laurie) Wead of Watkins Glen, NY, Dona McQuaid also of Watkins Glen, NY; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He retired from Corning Inc. after 46 years of service. He was also a Dairy Farmer. Family and friend are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads on Tues 29, 2013 from 2-4:00 pm and again from 6-7:00 pm. His service will follow there at the funeral home on Tuesday at 7:15 pm. With his son, Mr. Delbert Wead and Rev. Matthew Pickering officiating. Private burial service in Rural Home Cemetery.
