Obituary of Mary Geraldine Takkinen

TAKKINEN, Mary Geraldine “Geri” Age 75 of Lyons Dr. in Horseheads passed away unexpectedly on Sat. Feb. 23, 2013. She was born in Minneapolis, MN to Kenneth and Matilda (Bichler) Miller; She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Darwin Takkinen; Daughter, Jodi (Eddie) Klecker of Gillette, WY; Sons, Shaun (Randi Miller) Takkinen of Huntington Beach, CA, Mark (Deanne) Takkinen of Placentia, CA; Grandchildren, Jeremy Mock, Michael, Rebecca , Patrick and Cody Takkinen; Sisters-in-law, Bernice Miller of Minneapolis, MN, Joyce Takkinen of also of Minneapolis, MN; And their loving puppies, Missy, Milo, Champ and Charlie. Geri was predeceased by her daughter, Jean-Lisa Takkinen and Brother Robert Miller. She was a devoted catholic and communicant of St. Mary Our Mother Church in Horseheads. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and friend. Geri enjoyed gardening at home with her husband. Family and friends are invited to celebrate her funeral Mass on Saturday March 2, 2013 at 9:00 am in St. Mary Our Mother Church 816 W.
