Obituary of Ryan and Karen Kieffer English

ENGLISH, Ryan English and Karen Kieffer English Of Williamsport and formerly of both Big Flats and Elmira tragically passed away as a result of an automobile accident on March 1, 2013 while traveling home to be with family and friends. Karen and Ryan were both born in the month of March in Elmira. Together for a short time they were best friends and wonderful parents to their three boys. Karen and Ryan will be lovingly remembered by their boys, Cullen Patrick McWhorter, Griffin Kieffer English and Landon William English. In addition to their boys, Karen was the only child to her surviving parents, David and Debora (Stevens) Kieffer of Elmira, NY; Ryan’s father, Joseph (Christine) English of Big Flats, NY and his mother, Deborah Gilliam of Pikeville, KY; Also surviving are Ryan’s sister, Heather English and her daughter Kaylee of Westminster, MD; several aunts, uncles, cousins and so many close and caring friends whose recent support will be forever in our hearts. Karen was a graduate of the Arnot School of Radiology having received a full scholarship there. After her graduation she worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital. With their relocation to the Williamsport PA area Karen was fortunate to stay home and raise her boys. Ryan was a veteran of the US Marine Corps having worked as Crew Chief for Marine One, the Presidential Helicopter Detail. After his discharge in 2002 he worked at Rounding Third and Crossrhodes Entertainment, J. W. Measurements Inc, and more recently he was employed in sales with Rod’s Production Service, an Oil Service provider located in Oklahoma, Texas and Pennsylvania.. Family and friends are invited to call at His Tabernacle Family Church 16 Level Acres Dr Horseheads, NY 14845 on Tues April 16, 2013 from 4-7:00 pm and again on Wed. April 17, 2013 from 11:00 am – 12:00 noon where a service celebrating their lives will follow there in the church at 12:00 noon. The Rev. Dr. Michael Spencer will officiate. Commensurate with Ryan’s service in the US Marine Corps, a graveside service with military honors will follow in Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira.
