Obituary of Lucile M. Healy

Lucile M. Healy Loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away peacefully at home with family on Thursday, March 21, 2013. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband, Lawrence Healy in 2004; and son-in-law, Douglas Madison in 2011. Survived by daughters, Kathleen Healy, Patricia Healy Madison; and her much loved grandchildren and their spouses, Sarah and Brett Powell, Doug and Ashleigh Madison, and Amy and Bryan Perry; her sister and brother-in-law, Joanne (Michael) Langan of Naples, FL and nieces and nephews. She enjoyed Tai Chi, working as an RSVP volunteer at the Horseheads Free Library and knitting hats for children as well as a spirited game of Scrabble with family and friends. Gardening, baking, reading, bird watching, playing the piano, shopping, spending time at the lake and attending cultural events like Civic Music concerts were some of her many passions. Those wishing to honor her memory are invited to meet with her family at St. Mary Our Mother Church on Monday, March 25, 2013 from 9:30-10:00 am where her Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 am. The Rev. Christopher E. Linsler, Celebrant. Burial will also follow in St. Mary Our Mother Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Mary Our Mother Church and School, 816 West Broad Street, Horseheads NY 14845.
