Obituary of David R. Peary Sr.

PEARY, David R. Sr. Age 86 of Elmira Heights passed away July 26, 2013 at the Arnot Odgen Medical Center. David was born in Ogdensburg, NY to Rodney and Gladys (Hatch) Peary. He was predeceased by his wife, Vina Mae Peary in 1979; son, William in 2001 and granddaughter, Angela Peary in 2001. His surviving family includes his son and daughters, Debra (Jerry) Meyers of Elmira Heights, Ann (Terry) Potrzebowski of Elmira, David (Sandy) Peary Jr. of Southside-Elmira; Grandchildren, Jennifer and Jessica Peary, April (Robert) Tucker, James Golden, T.J. (Robin) Potrzebowski, Tracy (JR) Kent, and A-Jay (Kim) Potrzebowski, Alyssa (Justin) Pack, Michelle (Jason Gleason) White, John (Denise) White, Keith Stephens, Kayla Meyers, Ann Peary, Sarah (Josh) Navone, Will (Sara) Peary, Sean Peary; 23 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; Former spouse Margaret Lane Peary and several extended family and friends. Dave was a US Navy veteran. He was retired from REM Southern Office Products. He loved camping, time spent at Whiteface Mountain and he always loved the time spent with his family. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads NY on Tues July 30, 2013 from 2-4:00 pm and again from 6-7:00 pm. His service will follow there at 7:00 pm. Burial service will take place at the convenience of the family in Woodlawn National Cemetery where military honors will be accorded.
