To the Children, family and friends of Roy - I was saddened to read of Roy Palmer's passing. I knew him when he was a young man in his late 20's living in Cheektowaga, NY. He and his wife, Sherry, were a young married couple living in our upstairs apartment. They were so nice and touched the lives of my whole family. Roy, who worked for the VA, helped my father receive pension for a short time while he was going through radiation treatment for prostate cancer. Roy also took my brother and his best friend hunting for the first time. They were just kids 13 or 14 years old. He had such a big heart and I bet he made a wonderful father. My mother was very sick with cancer and Sherry would sit with her all the time. Sherry even took me to take my driver's road test! I am getting ready to retire from the VA in Buffalo NY and was impressed to see that Roy worked for the agency for 35 years! Thank you for your service to our Country and to our Veterans, Roy, and may you rest in peace. I can be reached at the email addressed provided. Sincerely, Lisa
