Obituary of Shirley A Archer

ARCHER, Shirley A. Age 78 of Sawdey Rd. passed away surrounded by her family on Sat. Sept. 7, 2013. She was born in Littlestown, PA on Aug. 5, 1935. Shirley is survived by her husband of over 56 years, William; Daughters and son, Randy (Marilyn) Archer of Big Flats, NY Cindy (Scot) Steffen of Corning, NY Patty (Art) Rohde of Horseheads, NY, Judy (Daniel Gugino) of Erin, NY; 15 Grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren Sister, Betty Lou (JC) Harris of California, Barbara (Robert) Simmons of Westfield, PA; Brother, Terry (Roberta) Lee of Addison, NY. She was also predeceased by her sister, Mary Jane Hayes. Shirley was a longtime employee of Bradley’s department store at the Arnot Mall. She also worked at Minier’s in Big Flats. In her earlier years she worked in the cafeteria in Big Flats Elementary. She was also an active bowler, was active with Big Flats Cinderella softball coach, avid bingo player and loved an occasional visit to the casino. She was also a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader in Big Flats. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads on Tues Sept. 10, 2013 from 4-7:00 pm.
