Obituary of Viola T. Comstock

COMSTOCK, Viola T. Age 96 of Horseheads passed away Oct. 29, 2013. She was born Aug. 29, 1917 in Sayre PA to Regius and Anna (Schaad) Titus. Her surviving family includes her daughter, Sue Carpenter of Montour Falls; Grandchildren, Alfreda (Les) Patterson Montour Falls Regius (Sherry) Comstock also of Montour Falls Ralph Carpenter of Owego Lori Carpenter of Southport, NY Sherry Carpenter of Rochester, NY; 12 Great grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; Many nieces, nephews and friends. Brothers, Earl (Jeanne) Titus of Elmira William (June) Titus of Pahrump. NV; Sister-in-law, Doris Titus of Waverly. She was predeceased by longtime companion Don Noyes and her siblings, Albert (Carrie), Frank (Eulalia), George (Laura), Reid, Jasper (Pauline) Titus; Isabelle(Russell) Whitehead, Esther (Walter) Deubler, Katherine (Sam) Graham, and Elizabeth (Merle) Bruce and son-in-law, Floyd Carpenter. Viola was a longtime member of Breesport United Methodist Church, active volunteer of Horseheads Food Pantry and a retired clerk for A & P foods. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads on Sat. Nov. 2, 2013 from 11:00am-1:00 pm. Her service will take place at the funeral home at the conclusion of calling hours at 1:00 pm.
