Obituary of William LeShure

LeShure, William C. Age 95 of Horseheads passed away Sunday Dec. 15, 2013 at Corning Hospital.Bill was born in Corning Dec. 26, 1917 to William and Amanda (Borden) LeShure.He was predeceased by his wife, Alberta Grimes LeShure in 1998.He is survived by daughter, Pauline LeShure of Horseheads;Niece, Marjorie Marshall of Rochester, NY; great niece, Genny (John) OlssonGreat Grand Nieces and nephews, Cassandra, Robert and Zachary Olsson,Bill was also predeceased by son, Donald in 1989 and a host of friends.Bill attended Corning Schools, Southside High School and Meeker Business Institute.He was a veteran of the US Army with tours in England, Africa, Sicily, France, Holland Belgium and Germany.Bill liked all kind of sports, bowling, fishing, baseball, golf, hunting and boating.He volunteered at Elcor, Bethany was active in his church, Horseheads First United Methodist Church, AARP, RSVP and the Retired Lions Club.He was also a member of the local accounting association. Family and friends are invited to call at the Horseheads First United Methodist Church on Thurs. Dec. 19th from 10-11:00 am where his service will follow at 11:00 am. Burial with military honors in Woodlawn Cemetery in Elmira.Those wishing may remember Bill with memorials to the Living Memorial Endowment Fund of First United Methodist Church 1034 W.
