Obituary of Dale A. Butz

Dale A. Butz Age 61 of Penna Avenue, Pine City, NY, passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 after an 11 year struggle with Alzheimer’s. Dale was born June 4, 1952 in Ilion, NY to Paul and Betty (Summers) Butz. He is survived by his parents, Paul and Betty of Wellsburg and formerly longtime residents of Horseheads. In addition to his parents, Dale is also survived by his sister, Susie (Bryan) Charles of W. Henrietta, NY; nieces, Emily and Olivia; Uncles, Douglas Butz of Florida and Lawrence (Margaret) Butz of E. Stroudsburg, PA; many special cousins; and a host of friends and extended family at his ARC residence. Dale was a loving man with a big smile and even bigger heart. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 South Main Street, Horseheads, Today, Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 4-6:00 p.m. Friends are further invited to call on Friday from 10-11:00 a.m. prior to his service at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Daniel Burgess will officiate. Burial service will follow in Bath National Cemetery.
