Obituary of Deanna Polovick

POLOVICK, Deanna R. Deanna R. Polovick, age 67, of Big Flats passed away on March 3, 2014 after a long struggle with breast cancer. Deanna was born Feb. 22, 1947 in Elmira NY to LeRoy and Edna (Bodine) Gilbert. She was predeceased by her husband Michael in 1994 and father LeRoy in 1999. Deanna is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (James) Brown of Greenwich, NY; Grandsons, Eric, Cole and Dylan; Mother, Edna Gilbert of Horseheads Brothers, Art (Linda) Gilbert of Erin, Roy (Holly) Gilbert of Horseheads and Many nieces and nephews. Deanna graduated from Thomas A. Edison School in 1965. Places of work include Artistic Greetings in Elmira, NY; Hamilton College in Clinton, NY; and Convenient Food Mart in Elmira, NY. She lived for many years in Munnsville, NY where she was actively involved in the American Legion Auxiliary. She moved back to Elmira in 1995. Hobbies included gardening and her love of painting. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads on Sat. Mar. 8, 2014 from 1-3:00 and again from 5-6:00 where her service will follow there at the funeral Home at 6:00 pm.
