Deborah,
I am so sorry to learn of your father's death, first from my sister Cathy, then from Rose Anna. Your dad was a great man - and my dad thought very highly of him - even though they were on opposite sides of the political fence! My thoughts are with you and your family and I'd like to write to you directly but don't have your address. Take care.

Bonnie,
We are so sorry to hear about the passing of your father. He was a great man and I remember him well as a kid who grew up in Big Flats. He was strong, honest and caring -- qualities that you do not see in a politician today. May God be with you during this time of sorrow. I know that no words can soften the pain, but please know that Gerry and I care and you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Bill was a politician in the days when politicians were honest. He was top in character and ""class."" He will always hold a special place in my heart, for I counted him as a true friend. Always enjoyed meeting and talking with him during the political days of the '60s and '70s. May God's peace be with you all. My prayers are with you.
