Obituary of Robert H. Flinkman

FLINKMAN, Robert H. Age 75 of Spencer and long time resident of Erin passed away after a brief illness on Dec.7, 2014. He was born Feb. 10, 1939 in Erin to the late John and Lempi (Sundquist) Flinkman. Bob was predeceased by his wife Carolyn and is survived by sons, William (Belle) Davis Jr. of Cary, NC, Brett (Karen) Cobb of Lompoc, CA Daughter-in-law, Sherri Thompson of Horseheads, Grandchildren, Corey Thompson, Kate, Evan, and Molly Cobb; Several nieces and nephews and many close and caring friends including dear friends, Norma Bennett and Linda (Dick) Howard. Bob was also predeceased by his brothers and sisters Leo Flinkman, Donald Wood and Ellen Mattson, and Irene Pyhtila. Bob was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Spencer, NY and a long time fixture and employee at the Do-It-Center in Horseheads. In his earlier years he also worked at Hibbard’s Hardware and Grossmans. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads, NY on Sat.
