Obituary of Jeffrey S. Jacobus

JACOBUS Jeffrey Scott Jacobus, 46, of Goose Creek, passed away December 19, 2014. Born in Elmira, NY, he was the son of Scott Jacobus and the late Debra Jacobus. Jeffrey helped his father run Jacobus Furniture and Millwork and was a Superintendant with CSG and Complete Building Company, Charleston, SC. Mr. Jacobus started his own business, Manicured Lawns, which he ran with his son. He loved spending time with his children and family. Jeffrey enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He is survived by his two children, Alex Jacobus and Samantha Jacobus of Goose Creek, SC; father, Scott Jacobus and wife Laura of Erin, NY; brother, Jay Jacobus and wife Caroline of Vernon Center, NY; sister, Jennifer Rogan and husband Tom of Horseheads, NY. Jeffrey is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Patrice and Jacob Jacobus, Tyler and Madeson Rogan. The entire family would like to extend a very gracious thank you to Jim and Judy Donahue of Marietta, GA and Loretta Clayton of Goose Creek, SC for providing tremendous support during this difficult time. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads on Sat. Dec. 27, from 12:00 noon-2:00 pm. His service will follow there at 2:00 pm. Burial service will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads.
