Obituary of Scott A. Weiland

WEILAND, Scott A. “Bubby” Age 41 of Federal Rd. in North Chemung, NY, passed away unexpectedly on June 7, 2010. Scott was born March 21, 1969 in Elmira, NY, to Shirley Drake Weiland and Raymond Weiland. In addition to his parents Shirley Weiland of Lowman and Ray (Barb) Weiland also of Lowman, Scott is survived by his son, Brandon; Sister, Shelly Weiland of Corning, NY; Cousins, Betsy Bowman of Elmira and Laurie Bowman of Woodville, AL, Michelle Weiland Haunt of Rochester, NY, Lori Nolan Balmer of Pine City, NY, Chris Nolan Krebs of Marathon, NY; Former spouse, friend and mother to Brandon, Karen McGonigal of Pine City, NY; Aunts, Betty (Charles) Thomas of Scottsboro, AL, Janice (John) Nolan of Myrtle Beach, NC, Bruce Weiland of Horseheads, NY; many close and caring friends, neighbors and faithful dog, Rocco. He was also predeceased by his grandparents, Charles “Gramp” and Lois “Nan” Drake, Harry and Ruth Weiland and Aunt, Debbie Weiland. Bubby was a maintenance employee with the Elmira City School District. He always enjoyed mechanical work or any work to help his family or a friend. He always took great pride in all he owned, especially his Ford trucks. Scott had a kind demeanor, a gentle smile and a caring touch. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St., Horseheads, on Friday, June 11, 2010 from 1-3:00 pm and again from 6-8:00 pm. His service will take place there at the funeral home on Sat. at 10:00 am.
