Obituary of Lloyd ""Ward"" Brown, Jr.

Brown, Lloyd W., Jr. (Ward) Longtime resident of Horseheads, NY passed away peacefully on Wed. Nov. 25, 2015 at his home with his family at his side. Ward was born on September 6, 1940 to the late Lloyd W. Brown, Sr. and the late Catherine Allen Brown. Ward was predeceased by two brothers and sister-in-laws, Alan (Marion) Brown of Alaska and Stuart (Janice) Brown of Horseheads, NY, two sisters and brother-in-laws, Lois (Robert) Brown Hutton, Linda (Kenneth) Brown Ackerman of Florida, One Sister-in-law, Virginia (Gordon) Mackenzie Brown, Mother-in-law Arlene (Dean) Smith Kelly. Ward served his country proudly in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and the beginning of the Vietnam War. Ward worked for Frosted Foods, S.M. Flickingers, Winchester Optical, Artistic Greetings and Sam’s Club. In the later years you could always find him watching and feeding the birds and squirrels, on his riding mower or snow blowing the neighbors and relatives yards. Ward is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 47 years Nancy Kelly Brown, son Gregory (Jennifer) W. Brown of San Antonio, TX, grandchildren Matthew Brown and Jonathan Brown also of San Antonio, TX., brother Gordon Brown of Indiana, Father-in-law Dean Kelly, Sister-in-laws Barbara (Stuart Brown), Sally Kelly and Donna Kelly, along with many nieces and nephews, good friends Lynn Stanton, John Holland and his beloved dog “Katie”. A very special thanks goes out to all the staff at the Falck Cancer Center and Care First in their guidance in the last few weeks of his life. Ward’s wishes were for no services, just to reflect on your own life in his memory.
