Obituary of Lea M. Kelly

KELLY, Lea M. age 76 of Yellow Rock Lane in Horseheads and formerly of Charleston, SC passed away unexpectedly on Wed. Aug. 4, 2010. She is survived by her daughters and son, Patricia (Richard) Kotenski of CT, Robin (Mel) Hemperly of Myers Town, PA John (Robin) Makinster of Horseheads, NY Kelly Lattin of Horseheads, NY grandchildren, Beau, Angela (Kurt), Christy, Pamela, Jonathan, Winston, Robyn, Mary; Richard, and Sherry; great grandchildren, Aidan, Nial, Nolan, Noah, Tyler, Brianna and Mariah. several brothers and sisters Ward, Jack, Bernice and Lea Strang. Lea was a longtime resident of South Carolina retiring from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston where she was operations manager there. After the death of her late husband, Frederick Tew in 1989, she moved to Horseheads and lived with her son and daughter-in-law. She was loved by all who knew her and will be truly missed. She loved poetry, reading and teaching her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads, NY on Monday Aug. 9, 2010 from 5-6:00 pm. Her service will take place there at the conclusion of calling hours at 6:00 pm.
