Obituary of Frank Pfeifer

PFEIFER, Frank Age 88 and formerly of Watercure Hill Rd. of Elmira went home to be with the Lord Thurs. Oct. 7, 2010 after an extended illness. Frank was born in Elmira Oct. 11, 1921 a son to the late Louis and Caroline (Kulik) Pfeifer. He was predeceased by his wife Virginia in 2004 and grandson, Matthew Pfeifer in 2002. He survived by his sons and daughters, Janet Card of Gillett, PA Richard Pfeifer of Elmira, NY, Frank (Marlea) Pfeifer, Jr., of Little Rock, AR, Helen (Dennis) Fletcher of Comstock, NY, David (Esther) Pfeifer of Glendale, CA, Maryanne Perry of Lowman, NY; Grandchildren, Brent (Bonnie) Carl, Michael (Wendy) Carl, Tim (Gretel) Pfeifer, Dan (Lisa) Pfeifer, Steve (Tammy) Pfeifer, Shawn Fletcher-Rich, Brandon (Kim) Fletcher, Joshua (Lauren) Pfeifer, Sarah Pfeifer, Megaen Ellis, little buddy Charlie; 16 great grandchildren, Sister, Mary Havens of Virginia Beach, VA. Frank was a longtime farmer in the area and also worked for Cummings and Bricker in Batavia, NY selling farm equipment. He loved traveling both with his job and family. He was also a member of the Breesport Baptist Church. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads on Sat. Oct. 9, 2010 from 11:00 am-1:00 pm. His service will follow there at the funeral home at 1:00 pm with burial service to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Elmira.
