Obituary of June P. Heatley

HEATLEY, June P. (Jack) Age 83 of Burch Hill Rd. Horseheads passed away Oct. 31, 2010 at home surrounded by her family. June was born March 30, 1926 in Elmira, NY a daughter to the late Clyde and Dorothy (Frederick) Jack. She was predeceased by her husband, James in 1977. She is survived by her children, James (Sandra) Heatley of Victor, NY, Robert Heatley of NY, NY, Sheldon Vos of Miami, FL, Michelle (Gery) Tremaine of Orlando, FL; Grandchildren, Jennifer (Patrick) Solomon, Marc (Tracey) Heatley, Matthew (Kimberly) Dilmore, Branden Dilmore, Todd Heatley, Brooke Heatley; Great grandchildren, David, Connor, Matthew, Liam, Caroline, and Jack; Sister, Sharon Keough of Millport, NY; and Robert (Marlene) Jack of Painted Post, NY. She was also predeceased by her brother-in-law, Danny Keough. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Horseheads and retired from Thomas and Betts. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed shopping, international travel, reading, kite flying and was an advocate for environmental protection. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads on Wed. Nov. 3, 2010 from 2-4:00 and again from 6-8:00. Her service will be celebrated in the First United Methodist Church 1034 W. Broad St. Horseheads on Thursday at 11:00 am with the Rev. Rhonda Kouterick officiating. Officers and members of Horseheads Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star will gather at the Barber Funeral Home in Horseheads on Wed. at 3:45 pm to conduct a memorial service for their departed sister.
