Obituary of Emma L. Knuppenburg

KNUPPENBURG, Emma L. Age 87 and long time resident of Pine Valley passed away peacefully with her son and daughter at her side on Thurs. Nov. 18, 2010 at Elcor Health Center. She was born Feb. 21, 1923 in Philadelphia, PA a daughter to Howard and Charlotte (Smith) Morshead. Emma was predeceased by her husband, Harold in 1995 and granddaughter, Kelly in 2007. She was also the youngest of ten siblings who predeceased her. She is survived by her son and daughter, David (Rayne) Knuppenburg of Pine Valley, NY Jan Nicholson also of Pine Valley, NY; Grandchildren, Julie Nicholson, Danny, Laura and Jimmy Knuppenburg; Great grandchildren, Gavin, James V, and Logan; Emma was a member of Pine Valley United Methodist Church. She was active with a regular euchre club and bowling league. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads on Tuesday Nov. 23, 2010 from 4-6:00 pm. Her service will follow calling hours there at 6:00 pm. The Rev. William Wells will officiate.
