Obituary of Bonnie Lou Decker
DECKER, Bonnie Lou (Bunzey)
Age 54 of Horseheads passed away unexpectedly at home on Fri. Dec. 10, 2010.
Bonnie was born in Johnson City, NY Sept. 18, 1956 a daughter to Ward and Martha (Murphy) Bunzey.
Bonnie is survived by her husband of 35 years, Dana Decker;
Daughter,
Darcy Decker of Horseheads, NY
Dawne (Kenneth) Decker Miles of Knoxville, PA,
Mother, Martha Bunzey of Vestal, NY;
Brothers and sisters,
Michael (Susan) Bunzey of Newport News, VA
Jolene (Chuck) Carey of Endicott, NY,
Timothy (Linda) Bunzey of Endicott, NY,
Debra (Tony)Bunzey also of Endicott, NY;
Sister-in-law, Janet (Mark) Hayman of Sayre, PA ; brother-in-law, Harold (Janice) Decker of Endicott, NY; several nieces and nephews.
She was also predeceased by her father, Ward Bunzey.
And in-laws, Harold and Dorothy Decker.
Bonnie was the office manager at Lindsey Lawn and Garden in Big Flats. She was an active “Mom” in the Horseheads Marching Band program from 1992-1999 and the Horseheads Village Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary.
Bonnie was excited at the upcoming birth of her first grandchild, she always enjoyed seeing others succeed and always put her family first. She was a devoted wife and mother who was most happy when providing for her family and she always loved her home, gathering with family and friends and time on her back porch.
Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 So. Main St. Horseheads on Tuesday Dec. 14, 2010 from 1-3:00 pm and again from 6-8:00 pm.
Her service will take place there at the funeral home on Wed. Dec. 15, 2010 at 10:00 am with her graveside service to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
