Obituary of Charles F. Hauck

CHARLES F. HAUCK "FRED" Fred Hauck, age 62, passed away unexpectantly, Sunday, June 28, 2020 after suffering a major stoke. He was born in Corning, NY, April 8, 1958. Fred was predeceased by his parents Doris and Atlee Hauck. Fred is survived by his Best Friend, Loving Partner, and Soul Mate Michelle Saxbury. He loved her with all his heart and made sure the whole world knew it. He was also survived by his Son, Matthew (Samantha) Hauck, Elmira Heights, NY, Son, Nicholas (Winona) Saxbury, Millport, NY, and Daughter, Hilarie (Levi) Balzer, Candor, NY. He was Papa to his 3 Grandchildren, whom he loved and cherished very much. Deegan “Bug” Hauck, Dakota “Skeeter” Saxbury, and Aria “Sac a Taters” Balzer. He also left behind 2 life long Best Friends, Dave Coolbaugh and George Dannelley, who have stories to share for a long time to come. Along his journey of life, he had many, many more friends that he made unforgettable memories with. Everyone who knew him loved him. Fred was a Graduate from Thomas Edison High School, in Elmira Heights, Class of 1976. Fred enjoyed riding 4-wheeler on his mountain, fishing, hunting, camping, and many more recreational activities. He always had a way to make others smile. He surrounded himself with good people. He is famous for saying, “I’m going to slide in to the Pearly Gates with a PBR in one hand, yelling, WOW, WHAT A HELL OF A RIDE!” There will not be any services, as Fred’s final wishes were fulfilled with donating himself to MTF Biologics. Barber’s Funeral Home, Horseheads, NY, will be handling his cremation. Trust accounts are being set up for the 3 Grandchildren if anyone would like to make a monetary donation in Fred’s memory.
